The award was handed out in celebration of the “Entrepreneur’s Day” 2008. Among the aspects evaluated by COPARMEX are the ongoing entrepreneurial spirit, and the enthusiasm to continue creating business for the betterment of the State of Jalisco.

Francisco Ramírez Acuña, pointed out that he is betting on the development of science and technology as he handed out the Science and Technology State Award. There were 21 finalists and 3 of them were awarded prizes en the Technology, Thesis and Science Categories, with a special award to Early Research.

20 technological proposals, all of them created by students and graduates from various Universities of the Western Region (in Mexico), were participants in the Sixth Contest for the Development of Electronic and Software Projects, which is celebrated every year in the UNIVERSITRONICA Fair. The “Sinapsis Electrical Stimulator” was the project that won not only the award in its own category (Electrical Applications), but it was also won the most important award: Best Project.
